John 20 was one of my devotionals today. A very familiar story of the disbelief of Thomas or doubting Thomas as the story goes. He would not believe the word of the other disciples that had actually seen Jesus the day before.
John 20:25 …"Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe."
John 20:29 Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
I just feel that if people are just waiting for some sort of sign to prove to them that Jesus actually existed and there is a God that rules over everything it is going to be too late for them then. So how do we reach people like this? The sad answer is that we do not reach them. Actually we do not reach anyone as far as that goes. All we do is share the Word with people and it is God that will soften a heart and open that person up to the glory that is life through Jesus. Our job, share the Word without expectation, and prayer for all those that doubt.
